A Fresh Start with EFI
1/15/2015, (Kernersville, NC) – At EFI, we hold the belief that involving and bettering the community through our business is essential. We do this not only through our products, but also in the way we create those products. Creation takes strength and skill, and there is no better way to utilize strength and skill, while bettering our community, than through working with World Relief. World Relief is a local refugee resettlement agency. EFI readily seeks to offer jobs to refugees with World Relief.
Today 30% of EFI’s employees are refugees, coming from Iraq, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Burundi, Ethiopia, Myanmar and Sudan. These jobs provide financial security and growth for those looking to start a new, better life here in America. Andrew Timbie, the director of the High Point office of World Relief, said that EFI was one of the few companies in the local [Triad] area, that is eager to provide jobs to refugees. Resettlement agencies say, “it’s companies like EFI that make the Triad a good place for refugees to make a fresh start.”
As a company, we are grateful for the chance to allow people the chance to their fresh start. Creating a strong product, all while affording jobs to those genuinely pursuing to better their lives, is just one of the ways that we at EFI seek to innovate and inspire the world around us.
